Zhan Peng approaches spatial design as a poetic act—one that transforms architecture into a vessel for memory, emotion and collective reflection.
Drawing from conceptual narratives and guided by a sensitive curatorial hand, his work invites visitors to slow down, feel and engage. These environments are not static—they breathe, respond and evolve with time and presence.
Beyond utility, such environments serve as stages for contemplation and connection, where the intangible becomes tangible through light, material and form. Space becomes both subject and storyteller—whispering fragments of remembrance, guiding the viewer through a choreography of quiet transformation.

Set within an ageing community, this memorial project addresses social neglect and the quiet isolation surrounding death. It reimagines remembrance as a participatory, life-affirming act—where stories are shared, memories preserved and taboos gently lifted.
The space empowers individuals to shape their legacies and find closure through empathy, ritual and connection.
