He is passionate about engaging with society and hopes to use design to build meaningful relationships and reflect shared experiences.
Curious and experimental, Kai Siang often explores new mediums to expand his creative expression. He hopes to make design a more human, impactful part of the world around us.

Symbols reframed: A visual exploration of Thian Hock Keng’s decorative symbols
This project explores the rich decorative symbols of Thian Hock Keng Temple, reinterpreting them into contemporary visuals.
Rooted in myth, homophones and cultural values, these decorative symbols are transformed to spark curiosity and conversation among younger generations, encouraging a renewed appreciation for Chinese temple design identity in today’s context.
