Wu Yuhan
Yuhan is dedicated to integrating her experience and knowledge in visual arts expression, movements, sports, sound and music for the well-being of people from multicultural backgrounds.
Through the MA Art Therapy programme at LASALLE College of the Arts, Yuhan expanded her clinical experience, providing therapeutic services to older adults with schizophrenia in the Anglican Daycare Centre, cancer patients and their caregivers, oncology professionals at the National Cancer Centre of Singapore (NCCS), as well as children, adolescents and their families with chronic diseases at Club Rainbow.
The themes of Yuhan’s art revolve around expressing psychological and psycholinguistic concepts as evidence of her developing professional identity. She prefers presenting art in the form of multimedia, mixing movement, sound and ink to find the equilibrium of feelings and emotions when handling various mediums.

Walk-Through is an installation comprising eleven transparent acrylic cubes, which inquires into the relationship between therapists being a container to hold emotions on the inside, and what therapists would like to reveal and display on the outside.
Mental health professionals and therapists are confronted with several challenges, derived from expectations, misunderstandings and stereotypes. However, they are not seen.
The humorous and ironic memes placed on the outside of the display cases invite people to understand the mental health profession in a relaxed manner. Interweaving concepts of installation, design and photo, Walk-Through is endowed with multilayered implications that may illuminate contemporary perspectives on participatory cultural, artistic and psychosocial discourses.
