Nathaniel Geordy (Geo)
With a background in architecture, Geo has long been fascinated by the influence of physical environments on human psychology. His further interest in the connection between visual arts and well-being led him to pursue training in art psychotherapy.
During his time in the MA Art Therapy programme at LASALLE College of the Arts, Geo gained clinical experience by supporting children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) at a charity organisation. He also helped students facing life challenges, particularly academic difficulties, in an after-school care centre.
His research focuses on using an empathetic approach to enhance therapeutic outcomes, particularly in helping children with emotional regulation, behavioural challenges, self-esteem and social skills.

In the artist's therapeutic relationship with his clients, he saw reflections of himself in them, as their experiences resonated with his own past. This deepened his empathy and strengthened their therapeutic connection.
Reconstruction of Past Echoes to Foster Tomorrow unfolds the intertwined nature of relationships. Fallen twigs symbolise past memories, forming a reconstructed tree that nurtures new connections.
This tree embodies the artist's identity as an art therapist—an empathetic tree offering his clients a safe space to lean on and grow.
