Lai Wei Xuan Vivien
Vivien has extensive experience as a senior associate psychologist in a private practice, where she has worked for the past five years providing psychological support and interventions to individuals from diverse backgrounds.
She holds a degree in psychology from the University at Buffalo, the State University of New York, equipping her with a strong foundation in mental health and therapeutic approaches.
Through the MA Art Therapy programme at LASALLE College of the Arts, she expanded her clinical expertise by offering therapeutic services to hospital staff, working as part of an inpatient multidisciplinary team, and supporting older adults undergoing mental health rehabilitation in a community setting, integrating creative expression into healing.
Beyond her clinical work, Vivien has been deeply engaged in the performing arts as a dancer since the age of 13. Her artistic practice explores themes of interpersonal connection through mixed media and installations, focusing on the delicate interplay of rupture and repair in relationships, whether with oneself, others or society.

, continued: there were traces left behind explores the theme of rupture and repair, not only within the individual but also in the broader world.
It examines the accumulation of experiences, how fragments come together to form a whole or how the whole fractures into parts. Each trace left behind is a sediment of time, shaping and influencing our identity, perception and existence.
In the continuous cycle of breaking and reassembling, we reconstruct meaning and seek new connections between ourselves and the world.
