Fatma Khalifa
Fatma has always been fascinated by the relationship between space and human experiences. She explores how environments foster comfort, identity and emotional well-being, with interior design as the backdrop.
This curiosity led Fatma to pursue a MA Art Therapy degree at LASALLE College of the Arts, where she merged creativity with an art psychotherapy approach. Her clinical experience includes working with seniors, adults, adolescents and children in various therapeutic settings.
Fatma is passionate about creating safe spaces both physically and emotionally, where individuals can express themselves, process their experiences and regain a sense of agency. Attuned to her clients’ needs and guided by cultural sensitivity, she approaches therapy with deep respect for diverse narratives.

Blueprints of Memories uses cyanotype and printing to explore and address unresolved emotions, unmet needs and past experiences that often continue to influence an individual’s present thoughts, feelings and behaviours.
By visiting these fragile and fragmented memories and emotions, the person can gain a deeper understanding of their development and work through past conflicts, ultimately fostering healing, self-awareness and personal growth.
As an art therapist, Fatma’s creative process is deeply influenced by how memories both personal and collective shape identity. The cyanotype process, which leaves ghostly impressions, parallels the elusive and imprinted nature of memories, while the delicate texture of the paper and the woven threads symbolises the vulnerability involved in recalling and preserving these past experiences.
