Amirah Raudhah Binte Razali
Amirah is passionate about advocating for the arts, and is keen on investigating how art can supplement the exploration of our inner worlds and storytelling. She is interested in implementing art therapy at the heart of Singapore’s community, reaching out to its multilayered society.
Having graduated earlier with a bachelor's degree in fine arts, Amirah has experience working as an independent arts instructor in mainstream MOE schools, and as a community artist working with different generations in the Singapore community. Her prior experiences sparked curiosity with regards to how art can be a tool to bridge individuals and communities of varied backgrounds.
Amirah has worked with adults living with intellectual disabilities in a day activity centre and children living with rare disorders and their families in their homes, with her artistic practice focusing on her therapeutic role as a co-adventurer who traverses the inner worlds of different individuals.

Keeping In Touch was inspired by Amirah’s fresh viewpoint as an individual taking on a therapeutic role working with children living with rare disorders, and the approaches she uses in encouraging creative art-making and storytelling through art materials.
Imagination and play are pivotal in developing creativity, problem-solving, communication and personal growth in children. As an art therapist trainee who enjoys art-making, Amirah realised the significance of embodying an imaginative and playful identity as a co-adventurer in a child’s imaginary world.
Keeping In Touch was developed from a basic sensory mat that she previously created with various coloured felt pieces—a blank canvas for certain clients to begin their adventures in art therapy sessions. This artwork hopes to encourage audiences of different age groups to welcome imaginative play through tactile sensations, responding to the space through soft sculpture.
