Thang Khaw Dal
Khaw Dal is Burmese and grew up in Singapore. Inspired by drummers Tico Torres and Botauk, he started out drumming at a young age, playing in worship services.
Over time, he also expanded his repertoire and learned to understand different genres. His passion for music grew, and he enrolled in the Diploma in Music programme at LASALLE College of the Arts.
An avid listener of CCM (contemporary Christian music) and rock songs, Khaw Dal aspires to be a dedicated church drummer and a session drummer. He is honoured to have been mentored by Pablo Calzado and Aaron James Lee.
Work
Khaw Dal's notable performances include Rock & Indie Festival (2024), SHOWCASE (2024), Istana Open House (2024), Fanger (2018–19), Chin National Day (Myanmar, 2017) and Youth Alive Conference (Myanmar, 2012–13). He also played drum for his friends' recordings.
In his early music stage, he was first mentored by JK Kam (2006–08) and Pastor Tuang in Charis Full Gospel Centre (2012–18). He is a music leader in Grace Baptist Ministries (Myanmar Ministry) and a drummer at Charis Full Gospel Centre.
