Mariya Aiza Binte Hamzah
Mariya is a versatile musician with over 15 years of ABRSM-certified piano experience and nine years in choir. Known for her vocal agility, she excels in various musical genres, including pop, rock, R&B, and electronic music.
Mariya's heartfelt songs offer comfort and encouragement to those feeling alone, fostering an accepting space for listeners to thrive emotionally and find solace in shared struggles.
For the past three years, she has taught music to children and adults, adapting her approach for different learning styles. She aspires to be an inspiring instructor, fuelled by her passion for music and dedication to her students.
Work
Mariya showcased her talents in the opera Losing Lily (dir. Dr Wong Su San) during the Performance and Health Symposium (2023), seamlessly blending her acting and singing skills. Additionally, she volunteered at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital where she performed for patients with dementia, highlighting her compassion and commitment to using music to uplift others.
