June, a porcelain doll, lives in a cycle she cannot escape—pinned to tracks, dragged by strings and forced to make toys under the watchful eye of a grading system. Her only companion is a flickering candle, reflecting her health and state of mind.

One day, the candle sputters and conjures Smokey, an elemental cat made of fire, oil and smoke. June ignores him, focused on her work. But Smokey thrives on chaos. His antics ruin her tools, disrupt her routine and eventually destroy her completed toys. Pushed to her limit, June lashes out, sparking a surreal fight that ends with a firestorm breaking her free from the mechanical restraints.
