Sonson Ken Bumidang
Ken is a Filipino multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the rich and ever-evolving relationship between people and landscapes.
With roots in the highland provinces of Luzon, Ken draws inspiration from the shifting terrains of the Cordilleras—its mountains, urban jungles and surrounding landscapes—translating them into visual narratives that blur the line between natural and constructed worlds.
His creative practice spans painting, graphic design and film, often merging traditional mediums with digital experimentation. Known for his use of colour and dreamlike compositions, Ken brings a cinematic sensibility to his creations, grounding his storytelling ina. deep sense of place and memory.
Ken’s projects frequently tackle environmental themes, colonial histories and cultural identity, all while maintaining a striking visual signature. He continues to challenge how landscapes are seen—not just as backdrops, but as a visual imagery to tell a narrative experience.
